I’m Alexandra Sampson (but you can call me Alex) -- an attorney, health coach, wife and mother of 2. I’m extremely passionate about issues pertaining to women’s self-care and work-life well-being, and I love Jesus, my family, and the gym (in that order). Click next for a few personal fun facts, and find out more about my professional endeavors below.

Cake = chocolate. Ice cream = vanilla.
Dogs. Definitely dogs.
The beach. All day.
I'm a tax attorney and for more than a decade I've advised some of the world's largest companies on state and local tax matters. I’ve gone from practicing law with two of the top international law firms in the world, to now being in-house tax counsel for one of the largest global diversified media companies. Tax + law is kind of my thing.
I’m passionate about all things fitness and have been a certified group fitness instructor for as many years as I’ve been a lawyer (actually more). I’ve had a number of fitness adventures (like that time I was casted in a couple of nationally distributed fitness videos) and am also a certified health coach and kids yoga instructor.
I’m a self-care advocate and believe that we show up as our best selves when we make self-care a priority. In 2017, born out of my own self-care struggles, I founded The SheFirst Project, an initiative focused on helping women to nix self-sacrifice and prioritize self-care. You can hear me talk about self-care issues on my podcast SheTime with Alexandra Sampson.
As a wife, mother, and business woman, I understand the challenges of working outside of the home while managing a family. As a Christian, I desire to fulfill these roles according to God’s purpose for my life. I coach breadwinning women on how to be successful at work, at home and in their faith, and blog about these issues at Breadwomen.com

I'm married to a really amazing film critic, film publicist, and film festival director (no, not 3 people -- just 1 cool guy). I'm also the mother of two funny, smart wonderfully complex children. They all keep me on my toes. It's a rollercoaster ride and while I hate real life rollercoasters, this family ride is one I don't wish to get off.
BreadWomen is a blog and community for women who are the sole or primary financial provider for their households. Built upon Christ-centered logic, BreadWomen provides encouragement and support to help breadwinning women be successful at work, at home and in faith.
